About Lisa

Lisa Anderson Fratzke obtained a BA in Art from Luther College. While attending Luther she was given the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Nottingham, England where she continued her studies in art history, art theory, and photography. Fratzke’s main area of study was the human figure. Not only is her interpretation of the human form bold and raw, she also uses it as a tool in which to deliver a strong message.

After graduating, Fratzke spent some time traveling the Americas, Europe and Africa. Inspiration drawn from the people experienced on these journeys, their lives, environments, and spiritual practices have fueled her current conceptual works as well as a newfound interest in portraiture.

She lives and paints in South Minneapolis with her husband and baby girl Nina.
